Browse the Character Gallery
Open the app and explore 80+ prank characters. Each character has a unique personality, voice lines, and visual design. Free characters include Police Officer, Doctor, Santa Claus, Ghost, Alien, Robot, Pirate, Wizard, Firefighter, and Teacher.
Choose a Call Theme
Select one of 15 call screen themes to make the prank ultra-realistic. Available themes include WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, Samsung One UI, Google Pixel, Discord, Zoom, and more. The default FakeCallApp theme is free.
Start an Instant Call or Schedule One
Tap a character for an instant fake call that rings immediately. Or long-press to schedule the call after 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 5 minutes. A countdown banner shows the remaining time.
Answer the Fake Call
When the call arrives, your phone displays a simulated incoming-call screen with the character's name, photo, and chosen theme. Swipe or tap to answer. Camera and microphone remain off unless you separately start optional reaction recording.
Use Prank Sound Effects
During the call, tap the music note button to open the Sound Board. Choose from 16 effects including fart, siren, scream, evil laugh, doorbell, thunder, and air horn. Play them at the perfect moment to enhance the prank.
Optionally Record With Consent
Tap Record reaction only after everyone agrees, read the in-context disclosure, and grant camera and microphone permission. A REC timer and Stop control remain visible. Afterward, keep the file inside JoltCall, share a temporary copy, or delete it. Skip or dismiss deletes the unretained file.
Explore Fake Chat & Notifications
Beyond calls, use Fake Chat to have WhatsApp-style conversations with any character. Characters auto-reply with personality-specific responses. You can also schedule fake notifications that appear as real message alerts from characters.

How do I make a fake call look real?
Use a call theme that matches the target's phone. For iPhone users, select the FaceTime theme. For Samsung users, use Samsung One UI. Import the target's real contacts so the caller name and photo look authentic. Schedule the call so it arrives naturally.
What are the best characters for pranking?
The Police Officer is the most popular prank character because it creates instant surprise. Doctor and Santa Claus are also highly effective. For kids' parties, Alien and Robot characters are great. For Halloween, try Ghost or Vampire.
Can I use FakeCallApp to escape awkward situations?
Yes! Many users schedule a fake call as a polite escape from uncomfortable meetings, dates, or social situations. Set a 2-minute timer, and when the call arrives, excuse yourself naturally. This is one of the most practical uses of the app.
How do I get the best reaction video?
Ask first. During the simulation, tap Record reaction, accept the contextual disclosure, and grant camera and microphone permission. Confirm that the REC timer is visible, use Stop when finished, and delete the clip unless everyone agrees to retain or share it.
Does FakeCallApp use real phone numbers?
No. FakeCallApp does not use real phone numbers, does not connect to any phone network, and does not make actual calls. Everything is simulated locally on your device. The other person in the video is a pre-designed character, not a real person.
